This year at the 2019 Defense Manufacturing Conference Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Sources Conference (DMC DMSMS 2019) Parts Life, Inc. President and CEO Sam Thevanayagam was asked to speak with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) on how Parts Life, Inc. helped solved diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS) and obsolescence issues in the strategic gap using innovative processes in reverse engineering and 3D printing for the nuclear enterprise.

PLI Recognized for Supply Chain Improvement by DLA at DMC 2019

We’re proud to announce that Parts Life, Inc. was recognized for Supply Chain Improvement by the Defense Logistics Agency at the Defense Manufacturing Conference In Phoenix, AZ for reverse engineering and reproducing non-metallic RAM fin seals for the Air Launch Cruise Missle. Using our innovative obsolescence and DMSMS program solution; 5R we were able to close the strategic gap to ensure mission readiness. The customer was not able to solve this for over 4 years due to lack of involvement from the OEM. Congratulations to Denise Price and the entire DLA team for their dedication and hard work!

Parts Life, Inc. is proud to share the tangible work we are doing to improve mission readiness! Recently the PLI team was able to provide an alternative source for seals on a mission critical DLA asset. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) often cannot find parts due from the original equipment manufacture, creating a strategic gap where these assets cannot be used until a replacement part is available.
