Advancing Supply Chain Resilience at DMC 2023: Discover Parts Life, Inc. at Booth #820 Dec 11th-14th

Updated: Dec 6, 2023

At Parts Life, Inc., we are thrilled to announce our participation in the upcoming Defense Manufacturing Conference, taking place from December 11th-14th at Booth #820 in Nashville, Tennessee. This year, our focus is on enhancing mission readiness through cost-effective supply solutions and enhancing supply chain resiliency.

We will also be showcasing the advanced capabilities of our mobile reverse engineering EAGL Laboratory. The EAGL lab is a fully mobile setup that brings reverse engineering and testing capabilities directly to base and field locations for parts and components that cannot be transported or removed from their locations. This mobile lab, equipped with upgraded electronics and on-board 3D printing, allows for on-site material testing and component analysis, as well as immediate verification of component dimensions. The EAGL lab's equipment is adept at replicating items in exact detail, covering dimensional, material, and technical aspects for perfect form, fit, and function. It offers a range of solutions for Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and obsolescence, aimed at reducing asset downtime and ensuring cost-effective mission readiness.

“We are dedicated to supporting the warfighter with solutions that are not just effective but also economically viable,” explains Sam Thevanayagam, founder and CEO of Parts Life, Inc. “Our SAR (Source Approval Request) submission process, which has successfully secured over 160 source approvals over just the last 36 months, is a testament to our commitment and efficiency to providing alternate sources at cost effective prices. We leverage our in-house processes, like R.O.P.E. and 5R, to offer tailor-made solutions to our clients, encompassing reverse engineering, technical data packages, prototyping, source approvals, and manufacturing.”

With an emphasis on providing cost effective stability and supply chain resiliency, we’re proud to showcase our unique approach to provide additional sourcing and market competition to part and component procurement.

“We believe in building capacity and capability in the defense industrial base,” states Sam T. “Our internal processes are designed to provide cost effective parts and solutions to the warfighter, increasing mission readiness rates and decreasing downtime of critically needed equipment. Our mission of defending freedom by serving the warfighter while delivering value to the taxpayer ensures that we can solve problems for our customers. By creating technical data packages that are manufacturable, we are enabling the defense industrial base by increasing capacity and capability. Simply stated, we are allowing our customers ‘to see’ by giving them a clear customer requirement. The technical data packages can not only be used to manufacture parts and components by us, but can be used to create market competition as well.”

Supporting the Defense Logistics Agency's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program is a key mission at Parts Life, Inc. Through this program, we have engaged in collaborative efforts that fuel innovation and technical advancement in defense manufacturing. Our involvement in the SBIR program has allowed us use reverse engineering to provide multiple manufacturing and source solutions to the DLA, furthering our goal of delivering superior solutions that align with the DLA's mission of providing effective and efficient global logistics support.

We’re thrilled to announce that Sam Thevanayagam will be panelist in the DLA Outreach Session: Ignite Small Business Thursday, December 14th from 10:30am-12 pm in Room 205C. The session will focus on cutting through the red tape to get usable guidance directly from the DLA R&D SBIP team.

Our past performance and current projects stand as a testament to our capabilities. Several projects, such as the remanufacturing of weapons launchers and our recent work in F-16 electro-mechanical manufacturing are prime examples of our adaptability and expertise in meeting the complex demands of defense technology. These initiatives demonstrate our commitment to not only replicate, but also enhancing original designs through innovative engineering, ensuring that these systems are reliable, mission-ready, and cost-efficient for our clients.

We invite you to visit us at DMC Booth #820 to learn more about how Parts Life, Inc. is at the forefront of creating resilient, cost-effective supply chain solutions. Discover our innovative approaches and how we contribute to enhancing the efficiency and readiness of defense operations. Hope to see you there!
