Parts Life, Inc. team member Sheila Harris-Adams was invited to take part in the Advocacy and Action day that was held in Washington DC on October 29th, 2013. Congressman Jon Runyan invited a select group of small businesses to the event, and provided them with the opportunity to meet with legislators and discuss important issues. Some of the topics covered were sequestration, Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst, Healthcare Reform, Tax Reform, and other pressing issues. The day started out with several meetings on Capitol Hill with a variety of congressional participants. Attendees met one-on-one with: Congressman Jon Runyan (NJ), Majority Leader Eric Cantor (VA), House Speaker John Boehner (OH), Chairman NRCC Greg Walden (OR), Chairman House Budget Committee Paul Ryan (WI), Congressman Patrick Meehan (PA), U.S Chamber VP for Congressional Affairs Ron Eidshaug, Chairman HASC Buck McKeon (CA), Chairman Small Business Committee Sam Graves (MO), and Congressman Frank LoBiondo (NJ).
